Job Summary:
We are looking for a Web Experience Lead who blends strong UI/UX thinking with hands-on execution across Shopify, informational websites, and Framer. This is a hybrid creative-technical role where you will conceptualize digital experiences, design them in Figma, and independently build out 60-70% of Framer projects. You should be someone who thinks in systems, understands brand narrative, and can use AI tools to accelerate content, copy, and design exploration.
As a WEL, you’ll work at the intersection of design, development, storytelling, and web performance — ensuring every website we ship is strategically thought-out, visually elevated, and conversion-ready.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Website Strategy, Design & Execution

Lead UX thinking, wireframing, and high-fidelity UI design for Shopify and informational websites.

Build structured design systems and prototypes in Figma.

Execute and develop up to 70% of Framer-based websites (design + build).

Ensure responsive, accessible, fast-loading, and conversion-focused design delivery.

Collaborate with developers to translate complex UI into pixel-perfect front-end execution.

Conduct pre- and post-development quality checks.
2. Brand Experience & Creative Thinking

Translate brand strategy into compelling digital experiences.

Write clear, engaging, brand-aligned website copy using both human writing and AI.

Use AI tools to create moodboards, image assets, art direction, and content variations.

Maintain coherence of visual identity across all digital touchpoints.
3. Web Performance, CRO & Experience Optimization

Audit user flows and page structures to recommend conversion improvements.

Align UX with SEO and performance guidelines for better rankings and engagement.

Ensure websites meet modern navigation, UI, and micro-experience standards.
4. Leadership, Ownership & Collaboration

Take full ownership of web experience for assigned projects — from concept to go-live.

Present design and UX decisions clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.

Collaborate closely with strategy, copy, development, and creative teams.

Mentor junior designers on UI/UX fundamentals and process.
Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in website UI/UX design, with strong exposure to Shopify and/or D2C brands.

Strong portfolio featuring Shopify, informational websites, and at least 1-2 Framer builds.

High proficiency in Figma (design systems, components, auto layout, prototyping).

Ability to design and partially develop websites on Framer (60-70% of execution independently).

Experience writing UX copy, microcopy, or website content.

Ability to use AI for concepting, copy refinement, asset creation, or design acceleration.

Strong communication skills and experience presenting work to clients.

Ability to think strategically about brand narrative, web journeys, and business goals.
Nice-to-Have

Understanding of HTML/CSS/JS for smoother developer handoff.

Hands-on familiarity with Shopify theme structure.

Experience with Webflow (bonus, not mandatory).

Experience working with analytics tools (GA4, Hotjar, Clarity).

Ability to create micro-interactions, animations, or motion for the web.
